Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Wanted - Winnipeg, Manitoba

We are looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for our established outpatient sleep clinic in Winnipeg, MB.

The successful candidate would facilitate diagnosis and assessment for patients using Home Sleep Tests (HSTs), coordinate reading of the sleep results, coordinate patient consultation with our in-house sleep physicians, and facilitate treatment through the use of  CPAP or APAP Machine Therapy, as indicated. The candidate would work directly with patients and medical doctor, as well other professionals on our team.

This position requires an understanding of obstructive sleep apnea, other breathing disorders, as well as current best practices for treatment. Prior experience working in a sleep therapy clinic would be a strong asset but not mandatory as training is provided.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited institutional Respiratory Therapy program.
• Licensed to practice in the Province of Manitoba through MARRT licensing.
• Demonstrable understanding of obstructive sleep apnea and other chronic and acute respiratory disorders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player.
• Ability to be organized and work in a timely fashion to meet all patient care needs.
• Punctuality, reliability and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work under supervision as well as independently without compromising quality of work.
